This week SERVPRO of Overbrook/Wynnefield took on a job at an apartment building where one of the washing machines had a malfunction and leaked. Last week, SERVPRO of Overbrook/Wynnefield took on a large scale fire job. There was a fire inside of a super market. This picture was taken on a brisk November day outside of a 5 story luxury apartment building. We had been there for a major water loss which took a few weeks to complete. Luckily, only a few residents were misplaced by the incident. While we were there taking pictures we couldn't help but to notice how cool the autumn trees were around this pretty cool truck wrap. • Accelerate slowly, doing otherwise could result in getting stuck or sliding into something. 
• take your time, it is harder to slow down on icy roads. 
• make sure you add a larger gap in between you and the vehicle in front of you. This should be about 8-10 seconds behind. 
• Know what type of brakes you have and how you should use them properly.
• Do not stop fully if you can. Stoping increases the chances that your vehicle will become stuck in the snow. 
• Don't put too much gas into getting up hills. This could make your tires spin and result in stoppage. 

Do not drive when snow is sticking to the roads. Stay informed by watching news alerts and emergency warnings. Check for signs of hypothermia and frostbite when outside for extended periods of time. Keep pipes from freezing if possible. Gather a supply kit for in your home and vehicles.

A few weeks ago we were sent to a job on a tugboat. The customer had dirty carpets on board of their boat but would only be available for cleaning for a few hours. We showed up and got the job done in about 5 hours, which made it possible for the tugboat to depart on time. During the week before Easter, our marketing team made up some easter baskets to give to first responders in our territories.  We love giving back to those who put their lives in harms way to keep us safe!

This week the 1-800 SERVPRO Team attended the PFDA Convention at the Kalahari convention center.  It was a great event and we were able to inform the attendees that SERVPRO does biohazard and aftermath clean up, which was unknown by most.

Last weekend, SERVPRO of Overbrook/Wynnefield helped volunteer with Narberth Ambulance and the Red Cross for a blood drive.  We provided coffee, donuts and water for all those who donated as well as the first responders at Narberth.

This tree house at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia had gotten rather dusty over the years.  SERVPRO of Overbrook/Wynnefield worked through two nights into the morning to fully enclose the tree house and bring it back to life!
